As soon as the user changes his/her password, the system redirects the user to the voting panel. Under the voting panel, the voter will be able to see current voting with title and their respective candidates. The system will allow voters to vote for any one of the candidates and asks for confirmation before submitting. As soon a voter casts his vote, he/she gets logged out automatically within 2 minutes. And then, the voter won’t be able to cast vote for the same voting. In summary, these validations help to prevent multiple votes from a single account.

Votes Count and Settings

Additionally, the admin panel also consists of viewing the total votes count for each candidate. These votes count can be seen from the voting section. With this, the admin can have a look at their voters and non-voters for the organized votes. But, the admin cannot view voter’s choices as it’s their own privacy. Another main point of votings is that the user can add votings sessions one at a time. This means an admin cannot create multiple voting sessions at the same time. An admin must delete the existing voting session before conducting a new one. But, the admin can modify the existing voting session anytime. Besides, the admin can update their profile, change passwords, manage administrators, and reset the application. By resetting the application, the system erases all the data except for the admin.

Instructions: How to Run?

• After you finish downloading the project, unzip the project file and head over to your XAMPP directory.
• There you’ll find a folder naming “htdocs”.
• Inside the “htdocs” folder, paste the project folder (not the .zip one, but the extracted one).
• Open your favorite browser; we recommend using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
• Then, go to URL “http://localhost/phpmyadmin“.
• Create a Database with a name that is provided inside the “01 LOGIN DETAILS & PROJECT INFO.txt”.
• Click on the “Import” tab and choose the database file (.sql) which is provided under the folder naming “DATABASE FILE”.
• After setting up all these, go to URL “http://localhost/[ PROJECT_FOLDER_NAME ]/“
• All the login details are provided inside the project folder, check that out and enter in order to use it.
