The very first step of this system is to manage vehicle categories and parking slots. For this, the admin has to provide simple few details. Such as Category name and select its status. And similar goes with the management of parking slots too. Here, the admin has to enter the slot name, its status, and availability. After this management, now the user can proceed towards maintaining parking rates. This rate flows throughout the whole system. There are fields like rate name, vehicle category, rate type, and rate under this section. Maintaining the parking rate is essential for the next step; i.e. during parking of the vehicles.

Manage Vehicle Parking and Parking Slips

And finally, after a long process, the user can manage vehicle parking. For managing vehicle parking, an admin has to select available parking slots, vehicle categories, and rates. After submission, the system changes the availability status of selected parking slots into occupied and captures the current date and time. Here, the current date and time play a vital role during the payment procedure. The system calculates the total hour of vehicle parking and calculates it with the selected parking rate. Additionally, for the vehicle’s exit, the user has to edit the form and update the payment section. As soon as the payment status shifts towards the paid, the system collects total earnings with respect to total hours spent. The system also generates parking slips for each parking record after their payments with their own parking codes.

Monthly Reports and Manage Company Information

Also, the user can view overall monthly reports in the form of graphs from the report section. These graphs represent each month and its respective earnings. The user can view records of each year too. Not only that, but the user can have parking report data that represents year-month with the total amount. An admin can print out the monthly reports too. This fully functional system also consists of a feature that’ll allow users to manage their company’s information. It means, authorized users can manage a company’s name, address, message/slogan, and set their own currency. By setting up a currency, changes the whole currency within the system.

User Management, Access Groups and Others

On the other hand, an admin has the right to manage users for the system. Before setting up system users, it is important to set a bunch of access groups. It includes a set of rules which will restrict employees from accessing all the system’s function. For this, an admin has to enter a group name and select a number of permissions. After setting up permission, now the admin can add system users under available groups. And also, each user group can view their own profiles respectively. In addition, it contains a settings section. This setting section is full of personal account settings where users can update his/her information and also their passwords. Besides, the admin can have an overview of overall earnings, pending, available parking, system users, and available parking rates.

Instructions: How to Run?

• After you finish downloading the project, unzip the project file and head over to your XAMPP directory.
• There you’ll find a folder naming “htdocs”.
• Inside the “htdocs” folder, paste the project folder (not the .zip one, but the extracted one).
• Open your favorite browser; we recommend using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
• Then, go to URL “http://localhost/phpmyadmin“.
• Create a Database with a name that is provided inside the “01 LOGIN DETAILS & PROJECT INFO.txt”.
• Click on the “Import” tab and choose the database file (.sql) which is provided under the folder naming “DATABASE FILE”.
• After setting up all these, go to URL “http://localhost/[ PROJECT_FOLDER_NAME ]/“
• All the login details are provided inside the project folder, check that out and enter in order to use it.
